Tribute

Lee, Janny (Nee Huan) Born in Beijing, China to Jimmy & Agnes Huan, Janny was five years old when her parents immigrated to Canada and joined many chinese families moving to northern BC.

The family settled near Dawson Creek and she and her six siblings grew up on the farm there. In 1934, she married Everett Lee and they raised their three children on their farm near Fort St. John. After the children were grown & Janny was left a widow, she moved to Portland, Oregon and studied to be an LPN. She worked in the hospital there for many years. In 2000, she moved to Kelowna to be near her beloved family. Jannywas a poet, published two books of poetry and wrote for many magazines.

Janny was a free spirit, beloved by all who knew her. She will be sadly missed by her three children; Tracie (Gert), Bryan and Ron (Loiselle); ten grandchildren, seventeen great great grandchildren and five great great great grandchildren and a large and loving extended family. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at the Rutland Seventh Day Adventist Church, 130 Gerstmar Road, Kelowna. Burial to follow in Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery.
